Mike began his retail journey in 1993 with his first store in Dimbulah. In 2000, he acquired the Atherton IGA, which later relocated in 2009 to the Silo Central Shopping Centre in Atherton, Today, this store has grown to become one of the largest IGA supermarkets in Australia and twice won the best IGA in the world!!
All of it. From the reef to the outback and everywhere in between. Love living here.
Matt is invested in our people, our team members, our customers, our suppliers and our community. He loves the variety of each day, and always starts his day, with a Coffee Works coffee.
Everything. From the rolling green hills to the crater lakes and even the outback.
Tearne joined the team in 2011. She loves the team she works with and seeing the look on customers’ faces, when they come into the store for the first time.
Lake Eacham. So lucky to have this here. A stopover breakfast at Altitude Café is a must.
Fresh Foods Manager
Christian moved to the Tablelands from Brisbane, wanting a change of lifestyle. He started with Fresh St Market IGA in October 2018 and loves working in a family business with ties to community.
So many great weekend getaways, as well as being close enough to the coast for fishing.
Speciality Foods
Diana loves being able to bring new ideas and products to the business. She’s pivotal in helping us strive for excellence and watching the store grow. She is committed to our community.
Raised up here, Diana loves the country lifestyle and being close to the reef and rainforest.
Office Manager
Sophie appreciates the camaraderie among colleagues at Fresh St Market IGA, and the shared vision to support the local community and producers, by sourcing the freshest produce from across our region.
Emerald Creek Falls holds a special place in Sophie’s heart. A place to rejuvenate her spirit.
Relationships Manager
The aspect of her role that Monique enjoys the most is the people, the customers and the team at Fresh St Market IGA. She is determined to deliver the most amazing customer experience and loves the fresh, local produce we stock.

Human Resources
Rachel loves meeting and helping people, making her well suited to Human Resources. She loves the fact that we support local businesses and producers, and the variety of her role and daily activities.
So many. She loves walking Mt Yabi and Lake Eacham, exploring local waterfalls and bushwalking.
Bakery
Knowing what her customers like and providing them with their favourite products, brings Jacqui great satisfaction. She also loves teaching her team new tasks, like baking and sweets, so they can grow their knowledge.
Jacqui’s favourite part of the Tablelands is Mareeba, for the climate. Cool and crisp.
Customer Orders
Interacting with our regular customers each week, establishing those relationships and having a personal touch, is what Thelena most enjoys about her role. She is dedicated to ensuring all orders are delivered on time.

Customer Service
Claire prides herself on good ‘old fashioned service’, and loves talking to customers and introducing them to our vast product range. She’s always amazed at how far people travel to see us in store.
Lake Tinaroo. She’s there most weekends, swimming, fishing and kayaking, with her family.
Deli
Christine enjoys overseeing her great team in the deli, a committed group of people that care about the job they do and the produce they have, from the fish and seafood to the cold meats. Being friendly and helpful, all part of the service
Christine’s favourite part of the Tablelands is at her place, which she describes as being her sanctuary.
Fruit & Vegetables
Steven loves the variety of daily tasks and diversity of jobs needing to be done in fruit and veg, every single day. Proudly supporting local farmers and producers. Favourite local products in store, Mungalli yoghurts for sure.
Favourite part of the Tablelands would have to be Lake Eacham or Kuranda. Both are great.
Meat
Our staff go out of their way for customers and that’s just the way it should be. I love being team leader in Meat and have a great crew of people in my department. Favourite local product in store, ‘Bingle Bay Beef’, of course.
Gentle Annie Lookout, also known as Millaa Millaa Lookout. Those rolling hills and views for days.
Grocery Merchandise
Andrew really enjoys the customer interaction part of his role, here at Fresh St Market IGA. By listening to their needs and requests, for various produce or products, we can grow our already big range to meet their needs.
Loves all of the golf courses on the Tablelands, especially the 19th hole.
Night Fill
Linda joined our team in 2008. She loves the Fresh St IGA team and our great customers, who have become like a second family to her. She keeps on top of things in night fill, to ensure the shelves are all stocked for you.
Linda loves Atherton, saying it has everything you want. Beautiful place, great people and great IGA.
