LOCAL SUPPLIERS Quality at a Great Price

We’re passionate about supporting local farmers and producers, helping to keep our region strong and our food fresh. We proudly source over 35% of our fresh produce from the local area. In fruit and vegetables this includes blueberries, strawberries, bananas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, capsicums, corn, broccoli and more (depending on seasonal availability). We offer an extensive selection of eggs and dairy from Stockman’s Eggs, Mungalli Creek Dairy, Gallo Dairyland and Dairy Farmers. In our Chop Shop, you’ll find beef from Bingil Bay Beef, Rocky Creek Abattoir and Malanda Meat Co. We also carry a fantastic range of local products, including Mary’s Ravioli (Innisfail), Ravenshoe pies, bread and sweets, Tichum Creek coffee, Coffee Works and Jacques Coffee, as well as Aussie Pepper from Silkwood. We work with so many local suppliers that it’s impossible to list them all, and we’re always excited to discover more! If you know of a great local product, we’d love to hear about it.

AUSTRALIAN SUPERFOODS

AUSTRALIAN SUPERFOODS

At Australian Superfoods we feel proud to showcase our local products on the shelves of a highly reputable local supermarket. We feel like we are part of the community, supplying locals and visitors with an Australian grown product. We love that the Tablelands has a variety of cafes and businesses that support local farmers.

BINGIL BAY BEEF

BINGIL BAY BEEF

As a family-owned and operated business, we take pride in supplying our products locally and value IGA’s strong community spirit. Providing fresh, local beef year-round keeping shelves stocked even when southern roads are closed makes us proud. We believe it’s important for locals to know where their food comes from. Because we raise and process the beef ourselves, we maintain greater control over our supply chain and ensure our cattle are ethically raised under our watchful eye.

CAAMANO ESTATE COFFEE

CAAMANO ESTATE COFFEE

Caamano Estate Coffee are proud to sell our locally roasted coffee right here in Fresh Street Market IGA Atherton, who support our community by keeping produce local. We’ve been producing our product for 1 year and look forward to introducing new blends and single origins in the future, highlighting different roast levels and/or different flavours from our seasonal harvests.

COFFEE WORKS

COFFEE WORKS

Coffee Works has grown from humble beginnings, as a single market stall at Rusty’s Markets in Cairns in 1988. Selling locally at Fresh St Market IGA gives us great pleasure, as locals have the opportunity to introduce our coffee to their family and friends. We’re local and we thank Fresh St Market IGA for supporting us, by stocking our products.

FNQ HONEY & BEES

FNQ HONEY & BEES

FNQ Honey & Bees have been supplying honey to Fresh St Market IGA since 2013. Their hives are located at numerous locations across the Tablelands, meaning their honey is locally flavoured. They get a lot of feedback from customers who say their honey is the best they’ve ever tasted and they say that makes their hard work worthwhile.

GALLO DAIRYLAND

GALLO DAIRYLAND

We are so grateful to Fresh St Market IGA and the support they show us and our family, by stocking our chocolate and cheese products. We are also very proud of our local IGA store. The awards they have won are well deserved as we direct our visitors to “must go and experience” our Fresh St Market IGA store.

JAQUES COFFEE

JAQUES COFFEE

The Jaques family has been growing coffee in Mareeba since 1979. We’ve been supplying to Fresh St Market IGA for over 20 years and this relationship means a great deal to our family and our business. We’re incredibly proud to produce coffee that is grown, harvested, hulled, roasted and packed right here in Mareeba, and having it stocked locally allows us to share that paddock-to-cup story directly with our community.

MUNGALLI CREEK DAIRY

MUNGALLI CREEK DAIRY

Fresh St Market IGA was the first store to stock our products, almost 20 years ago and we’re proud to still be with them today. Mungalli Creek Dairy has an exciting future ahead, as we expand operations and introduce many new dairy products to the market. We can’t wait to see them on the shelves at Fresh St Market IGA and thank you for your support.

STOCKMANS EGGS

STOCKMANS EGGS

Stockman’s Eggs produce caged, free range and cage free eggs at their property in Kairi, in the Tablelands Golden Triangle. As a 4th generation farming business, they love being able to support their local supermarket, which is also family owned. That’s what we should all be about, supporting each other in community and work, where we can.

WONDAREE MACADAMIAS

WONDAREE MACADAMIAS

The support of local businesses, like Fresh St Market IGA, carrying our product was instrumental in our early years and continues to be so today. Locals love to buy products produced on the Tableland, and food provenance is important for visitors. We planted our trees in 1984, started packing nuts in 1990 and have seen selling to Fresh St Market IGA for almost 20 years.

SWEET BUZZ HONEY

SWEET BUZZ HONEY

There is nothing better than fresh local honey and being able to share this amazing product with you, brings joy to our entire team. We’ve been supplying Fresh St Market IGA with our products since 2016 and look forward to continuing this for years to come.

TROPICAL HARVEST

TROPICAL HARVEST

Being able to sell our Dried Fruit, not just locally but in Fresh St Market IGA means so much to us and has just quietly been a proud moment. The store is always presented beautifully with fresh local produce and has a great reputation. We are so grateful to be a part of that.

How you can support locals

We Love Local. Local Lane is our Local Product Program, making it easy to identify produce and products sourced from across Far North Queensland. Look out for Local Lane tickets throughout the store while you shop. This initiative supports regional farmers and suppliers, reduces food miles and helps keep more value within our local economy. Supporting Local Lane means supporting local producers and the communities they sustain. We and they thank you.
